Wideimage example
This defaults to using The Island map, however if your base is on The Center, you can add | map = The Center above or below the lat and lon parameters. The map will not be displayed if no coordinates are entered. However, some tribes prefer to omit this information entirely in order to help preserve their security. You can supplement this map by adding screenshots of the base or locations of other bases you have in the main text of the page. You can include a map with the location of your main base by adding the latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates with: If no colors are specified, they will default to the colors shown in the first example. This second infobox on the right is colored using: You can pick colors using either their Names or HTML Codes. This infobox allows you to change the colors of the header, title, text, background, and sections to whatever combination best suits your tribe. If you have a wide image rather than a tall or square image, use wideimage rather than image in the infobox parameters. The image defaults to 128x128 pixels, but can be changed by adding "|size=?px" (with ? being the desired resolution) after the file name when adding it to the page. Registered users can Upload a personal tribe logo to be displayed in the infobox. Information about the tribe's goals and philosophy. So long as it does not violate the Wiki Rules or the Curse TOS, you can add pretty much whatever you like. The format and content of a tribe page is up to the tribe members.
WIDEIMAGE EXAMPLE HOW TO
If you don't want to install WideImage, there are other examples of how to do this without. Tribe pages are expected to be maintained by members of the tribe, and left un-edited by the rest of the community. Here is an example using the exif PHP extension and WideImage for image. If you use the page creator on either of the directories, you can simply input your tribe name and it will be automatically created in the proper namespace.

What this means is that the page name must start with "Tribe:"įor example: Tribe:Example Tribe would be the page name for Example Tribe. Precondition to get this working on your server: The PEAR::PHP_Compat package is available there.Tribes must be placed within the tribe namespace.

I updated Scott's php script and added some basic security functionality from the script of Shival Wolf. If one dimension isn’t specified (or null is given), it’s calculated from the ratio of the other dimension. Copy the complete WideImage directory to your server into the same directory of the postfile.php script. You can resize images by passing a few parameters to the resize() method. The first two are the new dimensions of the image, and can be smart coordinate values.Create a directory WideImage and unzip the library (you can use any unzip program, for example 7 zip), a directory lib and some further directories and files will be created.

I just copied the unzipped package to my server and modified the php script, see below to get this working. I also had this problem with my server, but then I found this solution on provided by powtac, which uses the PEAR::PHP_Compat package. You can find it out with the following script how this is set on your server: Unfortunately some web hoster do not offer to change that flag. Precondition to get this working is, to set the flag always_populate_raw_post_data to on on your server. Scott already put together a nice example to post any file to a php server.
